Staying at the Freyja was a delight. The location is super central, making it easy to walk to most attractions or catch a bus for tours. I loved the cozy common lounge on the top floor. it provided a perfect spot to unwind with a view. The staff truly made my stay special, accommodating my early check-in and storing my luggage after checkout. Daily smoothies and cake were such a sweet addition to the experience! The room was clean, and the beds were extremely comfy. A minor issue was the noise from adjacent rooms. the thin doors meant I could hear conversations next door. Despite this, I would gladly return, especially given the terrific breakfast options at the nearby café!

Lovely common lounge with relaxing views.
The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything from neighbouring rooms, which made it hard to find privacy. The shared bathroom situation was also a bit of a nightmare, especially since cleanliness suffered as various guests neglected their responsibilities. And to top it all off, the towels in my room felt quite worn and could have been fresher.

Cozy rooms with well-decorated interiors. The kitchen on each floor is fully stocked, making it easy to cook up a meal after a long day.
The shower setup can be tricky. it took a while to figure out, and the shower head didn't stay in place as adjusted. Cleanliness in shared bathrooms tends to decline throughout the day, and finding free parking can be a hassle for newcomers, requiring some extra time to circle the block.

Just an optimal selection for a passing visit in Reykjavik with exceptional value. I appreciated the cozy lounge area with a great view to relax after a long day of exploring. Consider bringing your own heavy towels as the ones provided could be better.
